CUAS Validation for Critical Infrastructure Is Now Live

Most organizations investing in counter-UAS technology are buying based on a vendor's best day. CUAS validation exists to change that.

Every C-UAS system on the market has been demonstrated somewhere, under conditions the vendor controlled. A known flight path, a familiar environment, ideal weather. None of that tells a buyer what happens when an unannounced aircraft crosses their own perimeter, at their own site, under their own conditions. Tactien exists to replace opinion with evidence. That's the premise behind the CUAS page now live on the website, and behind how we do this work.

Tactien's process starts before a single sensor is switched on. We walk clients through how different detection technologies work work. Then, we advise on the regulatory ground every counter-UAS program needs to understand. That regulatory picture is still moving, and a validation partner who isn't tracking it is validating against yesterday's rules.

Once requirements are defined, down-selected vendors are tested blind. Tactien flies the UAS (multiple types, over multiple days) and logs independent GPS telemetry from every sortie, the same telemetry no vendor is made aware of prior. Detection output gets measured against that ground truth, not against itself. The gap between vendor performance claims and independent CUAS validation results can be significant.

Three ways to engage

These aren't fixed packages, they're common entry points, scoped to what you already know and what you still need.

The same principle running through all of Tactien's advisory work applies here too: the earlier we're brought in — before an RFP goes out, before a vendor is under contract — the more the data can actually shape the decision instead of just confirming it afterward. Vitamins, not pain pills.
