Tactien announces expanded C-UAS Support Services for Infrastructure

The Tactien Group has announced a comprehensive suite of support services for organizations investing in Counter-UAS (C-UAS) technology, anchored by a purpose-built software and methodologies. The offering covers the full lifecycle: industry education, independent vendor vetting, live blind red-team validation, and optional commissioning. But the capability that sets it apart is the software.
01 Analysis Capability
C-UAS vendors routinely show up to evaluations with performance data collected in open fields under controlled conditions. Real-world deployments look nothing like that. Urban canyons, RF-dense environments, terrain masking, and electronic interference all degrade detection differently, for every system, at every site.
Tactien takes telemetry logged from every test sortie and cross-reference it against every vendor's detection output in real time, calculating detection rate, tracking continuity, positional accuracy, latency, false positive rate, and classification accuracy for each flight, for each vendor simultaneously.
The platform also allows custom KPIs to be added per customer requirement, meaning each evaluation is scored against the criteria that actually matter for that organization's operational context.
02 How the Platform Works
Tactien's platform ingests high-frequency, timestamped telemetry from every test sortie as the independent control. Each vendor's detection output is collected separately and aligned to the same timeline. The positional delta is then calculated at every telemetry point. The results are detection hits, missed tracks, false positives, latency events, classification errors. Each are scored against the KPI framework.
All data is rendered in a 3D environment that replays each flight against each vendor's tracking data. Analysts can scrub through the timeline, isolate individual sorties, switch between vendors, and measure the variance between reported and actual positions in real time.

03 The Test Methodology
The software is only as useful as the data fed into it. Tactien's blind red-team methodology is designed to stress the detection envelope in ways that reflect actual threat scenarios, not vendor-favorable conditions. Operating independently, Tactien's operators fly custom test card procedures developed specifically for each site's risk profile. Vendors are given no advance information on aircraft type, flight path, frequency, or timing. Test profiles are specifically designed around the customer's environment and can include:

Varying altitudes, speeds, and times of day — including night operations
Multi-aircraft and simultaneous swarm sorties
Terrain masking, EMF spoofing, and hillshade exploitation
Obstacle and urban-canyon environments
Varying RF signature profiles, including custom "dark drone" platforms
Group 2 & 3 UAS for advanced threat simulation
"Vendors will often show up with the same radar in each tech stack. But radar performance between each vendor can be drastically different. The only source of truth for a potential buyer is to stress-test them side-by-side in their specific environment."
04 Deliverables
At the conclusion of testing, Tactien delivers a final report that gives the client everything they need to make and defend a procurement decision. It contains:
Per-flight vendor scorecards ranked by performance category
Side-by-side comparative analytics showing exactly where each vendor outperforms the others, and why
Site-specific assessment of how local RF conditions, terrain, and interference affected performance
Clear documentation of detection gaps per system and the conditions under which they occurred
Quantitative proof of performance with vendor recommendation(s) and fully justified reasoning

05 The Team Behind It
Tactien's C-UAS team brings together decades of combined experience across aviation operations, federal defense programs, airspace policy, and systems engineering. The team includes operators with Group 1-4 UAS and complex airspace experience, former senior federal agency leaders in UAS security and critical infrastructure protection, and defense program managers with backgrounds in DoD systems qualification and multi-agency coordination.
Beyond the core team, Tactien operates through a close network of specialist partners covering system integration, commissioning, and regulatory and policy development — ensuring clients have access to the right expertise at every phase of their program, regardless of scope or scale.
